History
A long time ago, the sapiosaurs were gifted intelligence via an unknown technology from a long lost civilization. Since then they have spread across the many planets of their stellar system.
Sapiosaur biology
While sapiosaurs come in many shapes, sizes and colours, there are 4 distinct types classified according to their neurology.
- Protocephloids: The first type of sapiosaur, they lived on the home planet for millions of years and continue to do so. Many remain ignorant of the world outside their planet.
- Somacephloids: They are the most numerous type of sapiosaur. They are categorized by their enhanced sensory perception, reflexes and physical fitness. Many though not all choose to enhance their body with cybernetics which closely mimic flesh.
- Psiocephloids: The second most common type of sapiosaur, they have enhanced mental abilities. They have mastered telepathic abilities using devices which can both read and manipulate the brain activity of other sapiosaurs
- Technocephloids: The most mysterious type of sapiosaur, technocephloids have a more versatile mental pattern than other types, which allow their minds to inhabit forms that are more extreme than any other type, as well as interface with technology at incredible speeds. Many have intergrated their minds into machines or other life forms.
